There are lots of fab places to eat in the village of St Merryn, here are my top five.

The Olive Tree

The Olive Tree offers simple but delicious food all served in a relaxing atmosphere. The food is very much influenced by Italy and the Mediterranean. They still however make the most of the Cornish Local food such as fish, cheese and meat are all provided by the local produces.

Ivy House

This charming place offers good pub meals with a seasonal menu and excellent desserts. It also offers hearty breakfasts for those wanting a good start to the day.
Steak, fish and pub classics as well as soups and grill burgers are also on offer.

The Farmers Arms

This is a traditional Cornish Pub offering pub food. It offers a specials board as well as good vegetarian options including their sweet potato and wild mushroom burger. Something great to try is their steak and Tribute pie. Being traditional every Sunday a traditional Carvery is served with a choice of meats and veg and this proves to be very popular.

The Cornish arms

This Cornish pub is owned by the chef Rick Stein and is overseen by head chef Alex Clark. As expected it offers classic seafood dishes and grill favorites. It offers comfort British pub food that can be enjoyed outside in the beer garden in the summer or warm and cosy by the log fires in the winter.

Lots of decent places to eat in St Merryn…just need to choose which one for Dinner!
