There is always something going on in Cornwall. A delicious feast to try the best of whats on offer from local produces, dance away into the small hours with the local bands or simply sit back and soak up the Cornish culture. Whatever takes your fancy there is fun to be had at a Cornish Festival. Here is a list of some great Cornish Festivals this year.

The Beer and Musssel Festival- St Merryn 17-19th March. This festival offers a chance to dance into the small hours to a local band, try out local food and regional beers and cider. Proper Job!

Tunes in the Dunes- Perranporth Beach Held in May. Get down to the beach for a night of dancing, drinking and fun at the ultimate beach party.

Leopallooza- Bude Held in July. Plenty of fun to be had at this Cornish Festival. Family friendly with plenty to entertain the children, music, fun and the famous Leopallooza bonfire.

Rock Oyster Festival- St Minver Held in July. This artisan midsummer food festival offers plenty of delicious treats as well as music, entertainment and another which is great for all the family.

Newlyn fish Festival- Penzance Held in August. Newlyn comes alive with cookery demonstrations, music, arts and crafts and generally all things Fishy in support of the Fishermen’s mission.

Boardmasters-Watergate Bay Near Newquay Held in August. A hugely popular music festival popular with the young and old. It is one of Cornwall’s biggest Festival. It boasts live music from local and big star bands as well as a weekend of top surfing competitions. Book early for this one as tickets book fast as do accomodation and campsites near the area not to mention the taxi’s home!

Falmouth Oyster Festival-October. This festival celebrates the importance and the deliciousness of the Cornish Oyster in all it’s glory.

Padstow Christmas Festival- Padstow Held December. Padstow sparkles and gets everyone in the christmassy mood with festive cookery demonstrations from renowned chefs, Local food and drink markets, arts and crafts, Santa fun run raising money for charity, music and fireworks to round off the first day of three.

So no matter whether you are a foodie, music lover, into culture and arts or just want to spend some quality fun time with the family there is fun to be had at a Cornish Festival.
